Research conducted by Citation has revealed that a whopping 50% of employed people want to leave their job in the next 12 months.

London looks to be the worst hit area with more than two thirds of workers wanting to up sticks and leave, with West Midlands a not-too-distant second.

With the average cost of recruitment coming in at a staggering £30,000, there’s a hefty price tag attached to the turnover – but that’s not all.

From morale and productivity slumps, to potential reputational and recruitment damages, there’s a lot to be lost alongside the employees themselves.

Citation delved little deeper into the minds of those looking to leave their current employer, to find out what’s pushing them out of the door, and what’s most important to them when job hunting.
