Within this role you will be responsible for the procurement of goods, services and works as required under the direction of management to achieve the most economically advantageous result at least risk, and consistent with EU Public Procurement Regulations, Standing Financial Instructions and the operational requirements of the constituent organisations and clients.

Key duties

  • Invitation to quote/tender and commercial evaluation
  • Negotiations with suppliers and contractors
  • Placement of orders and contracts compliant with the Customers’ Standing Financial Instructions, Procurement Policy and current legislation
  • Delivery of annual work plan and achievement of performance and savings targets
  • Supervise and manage a team of Procurement Officers and Procurement Assistants
