Are you an experienced NHS Financial Accountant looking for a new role? CY are currently recruiting for a Senior Financial Accountant based on the outskirts of London on a 12 month fixed term contract. As Senior Financial Accountant you will be responsible for a number of areas including completing monthly returns, ensuring financial controls on the ledger, control account reconciliations and supporting with the production of annual accounts. As Senior Financial Accountant you will also oversee the transactional teams and treasury function. To be considered for the Senior Financial Accountant role you must have previous NHS Financial Accounting experience and have extensive working knowledge of SBS. Previous experience of Oracle would also be advantageous. This role is offered on a 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. Secondment options may also be considered. Candidates will be experienced Prince2 Qualified Programme/Project Managers who are looking to develop their careers with one of the Midlands most significant NHS organisations. You will have the necessary communication skills to enable you to articulate the Trusts strategy to Senior Stakeholders, gaining their buy in and commitment. You will also understand the financial advantages of change programmes, as well as the importance of improving how services are delivered. NHS Trust experience would be an advantage, but not essential in this instance. However, an interest in the NHS and a passion for improved care across Birmingham is essential to succeed in this role.
