The Deputy Head of Procurement and Supplies will provide operational leadership, advice and expertise that will enhance the department’s profile and inspire the team to deliver an excellent, integrated procurement service.
Proactive management of the procurement team will be a key focus; strengthening the department’s capability and capacity will facilitate the delivery of the Trusts visions and saving targets.
Innovative and commercial in your approach you will implement efficient and effective procurement processes, maximise opportunities and identify and lead cost initiatives that demonstrate value for money.
As a procurement professional your procurement portfolio will demonstrate your experience of strategic sourcing & cost effective purchasing & engaging with key stakeholders to influence the direction of procurement strategies.
NHS experience and MCPIS qualification would be beneficial, however end to end knowledge of the OJEU tendering process and recent experience of leading and developing a multifaceted procurement teams will be essential.
